Really exciting news!! I was fortunate to be involved with several stories at Newsday that have been nominated for six New York Chapter of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Emmy Awards. It’s incredible to be part of our amazing team at Newsday.

“Surviving Sandy,” a look back as Long Islanders reclaimed their lives after the devastation of superstorm Sandy, was nominated in the news special category.
“Time Together,” about babies and toddlers learning through song and dance, was nominated in the children/youth programming category.
“Long Island’s Newest Farmers,” about a new breed of farmer taking root on the East End of Long Island, was nominated in the environment: program/special category.
“The Long Island Bombers,” about a team of visually impaired athletes competing in Beep Baseball, was nominated in the human interest: program feature/segment category.
“Nine Days in April,” about how, for a nine-day stretch in April, New York felt like it was the sports capital of America, was nominated in the sports: program feature/segment category.
“Program Portfolio,” excellence in photography for work by Chris Ware, was nominated in the photographer: program category.
