For the Islanders vs. the Rangers game, I set up two cameras at a high vantage point to show the coliseum fill with fans before the game started.

One camera was on a Kessler Crane 5′ cineslider. The timelapse was driven by their new Second Shooter 3-axis motion tool. The second was static, which we can use for cut-a-way shots.

A huge challenge was the inconsistent lighting. Dim to start, then very bright for warm-ups, then a variety of other exposures up to game time.

Shooting in RAW, and having two cameras definitely helped make the shoot a success. It allowed for multiple outputs of exposures, which will be used for several timelapses. Each will be placed on the timeline in Adobe Premiere, one above the other. It will allow our team to cut between cameras which will have different exposure outputs. Resulting in a uniform timelapse.

Challenging, but fun.
